At the time I was playing Sony. Bought an Xbox 360 just for Gears. Did not love it at first- stuck with it. Now one of my favorite franchises of all time- played all Gears releases at least three time each. Can't wait for E-Day...

I really hope content from The Fall of Reach (the book) gets put in!! Waiting for the new game is going to get me through university... I hope it turns out good!

I was hyped until I heard sprint and clamber. CE Remake should have been like Dead Space Remake or Resident Evil 4 Remake. True to the OG gameplay, but with new and cut content.

Whilst this is a fantastic idea to add cut content/missions it would strafe away from the finalised release games story by a huge margin. Ok sure add clamber and sprint + make the mission areas larger to compliment the new mechanics but adding new paths or scripted events to areas that did not exist would in my opinion ruin the magic of CE

I'm certainly happy to have a remake of the trilogy IF ITS DONE RIGHT. I think it would be a good way to get the modern gamer into the universe and story. HOWEVER, I really am afraid It will not be done right. My trust in Microsoft/343 to handle this IP creativity is very broken. This trilogy is, dare i say, legendary. and a remake must be made to respect that. It would be soo easy to mess it up but it would also be soo easy to make it epic. Now while I'd love some quality remakes, I honestly believe this is a cheap cop-out. Like 343 saying: "You didn't like what we wrote, so we will just give you your story again" like I'll take the remakes if they are good. But that doesn't give 343 a pass to not make new content and further explore this amazing universe. There are so many books and points of lore. The halo universe spans hundred of thousands of years and your telling me you can't come up with one good story? The remake idea just feels like corporate bullshit to me a "safe" investment if you will. But we deserve our beautiful halo universe to be fully fleshed out! I say sure, give us the remakes. But put another studio on actually making some new halo story content that we haven't seen before!

I might be interested, but I'd prefer an original story. Sequel, prequel, I don't really care, just tell your own story. Maybe one about a conflict within the Covenant where you play as an elite the whole game? Also, I'm a bit behind on Halo games. I wasn't a fan of the Prometheans as enemies, Halo 4 wasn't very memorable to me, and it was the last Halo I played.

The fact that halo 5 was a better "live service" game is mind boggling

For some reason this doesn't excite me, I've never been a fan of remakes, but that's just me. Halo is my favorite franchise ever, so I'll play it anyway.

Why don't they just keep up with infinite for other 5-6 years and in the meanwhile develop a massive game with a campaign on par of its predecessors and a gameplay that bases on infinite? I love how they just keep doing the same mistakes over and over again. We don't get excited anymore at these news because we already know we're gonna get a 6 meh trilogy

343 is a company filled with lazy pieces of garbage for not including a single one of these items. It should take a week AT MOST per item shown in this video to be released.

So this is a remake with cut contents and the same story we already know right guys? Was thinking about sequel to infinite because it didn't end well.But this is what I'm gonna have and feel littlebit unnecessary for now. Hope they won't abondon halo 7. I want a lore accurate halo game. U take 4 direct plasma shota and ur dead but u move fast as shit with bullet time and make plasma impacts do procedural environmental damage and gore damage. The books made the covenant feel less of a threat and more like an unstoppable force. THATS the kind of theme we need in these games going forward. Impossible odds with actual stakes

This Content was most likely cut because it made certain 343 producers "uncomfortable" for being too realistic and too scary.

It sounds good on paper. But I'm skeptical. I'm half expecting them to try to retcon the story and make it more like the TV show. The word "Remake" doesn't sit right with me.
